As a versatile unit for fine‐sizing and coarse‐milling, the VSI sand maker handles an extensive list of feedstocks: metallic and non‐metallic ores, cement clinker and refractories, grinding compounds, glass batch, construction crushed stone, artificial sand, and slag from metal smelting. Although it is optimized for medium‐hardness rocks, it also copes admirably with high‐hardness and corrosion‐prone minerals. Applications involving silicon carbide, emery, fused bauxite, and magnesia benefit from its heavy‐duty rotor design, which maintains stable performance and excellent particle morphology even with the most abrasive inputs.
