Please do not add water directly into the base. If the humidifier does not work properly (e.g.: the red light is on, no mist coming out, etc.), most problems can be addressed by the follow steps: 4*. Take the water tank off of the base. 5*. Pour out all the water in the base. 6*. Add at least 2 cups/480 ml water into the water tank. (Please do not add water into the base directly) 7*. Place the tank back onto the base.
